Description
The cartridges in VC-Series valves determine the flow rate and performance of the valve. Replacing the cartridge returns the valve to its original factory settings. 1000-series cartridges fit all 2-way VC bodies.
To ensure trouble-free operation, the following installation practices must be followed:
- Flush the system initially.
- Treat the water chemically.
- Install a 50-micron (or finer) side stream filter.
- Remove all filters before flushing.
- Do not use petroleum-based, mineral oil-based, hydrocarbon-based, or ethylene glycol acetate-based additives, solder flux, or wetted materials.
- Dilute diethylene glycol, ethylene glycol, and propylene glycol (antifreeze solutions) with at least 50% water before using them.
